You're better off trying for 1200-2000 cals with about 1/2 to 1 hour of exercise daily, and although the weight loss won't be as rapid as you're hoping for, it will happen and you'll lose less muscle and more fat, and you'll keep a decent metabolism

My legs are from running (I alternate days between hills, sprints, intervals, and endurance) and leg lifts/squats. Good luck!! :)
